BloomNo. 3
Superbloom
Driving, lightquarter note= 108
The finale plays four against three at two speeds. First inside the beat, with right-hand sixteenths running over left-hand triplets. Then across the bar, in a middle section in 3/4 where the left hand places four evenly spaced chords under a broad melody in octaves.
The reprise turns the right hand into waves of sextuplets that open wider with each beat. A cadenza leapfrogs down the keyboard and climbs back, into a coda that brings back the Hummingbird riff and closes on the tonic the set has been saving.
