Moon Viewing Garden

The slow middle of the set, in a lilting 12/8. The melody is pentatonic and keeps coming home to the same note, over four chords whose last is borrowed from the minor and pulls the tune down with it.

It is sung first in octaves over a bass-and-chord lilt, then moved into the tenor under harp-like arpeggios. A side-step into A major slides home through D major, a semitone above the tonic.
